Dear Support Group Members,
I hope this email finds you all in good health and high spirits. We are thrilled to announce that our next support group meeting will feature a guest speaker, Leah Bayes from Scutta Advocacy, who will be joining us on Wednesday, January 24th at 1:30 p.m. The meeting will take place at the LifeFit Wellness Center.
Leah Bayes is an expert from Scutta Advocacy, a distinguished organization that specializes in providing comprehensive support for individuals facing Parkinson’s Disease. As we all know, those dealing with Parkinson’s often encounter significant decisions related to their care and well-being. Scutta Advocacy offers invaluable assistance in the realms of medical, financial, emotional, and general advocacy.
Leah, as a nurse advocate, will shed light on the crucial role of advocacy in helping clients and their loved ones navigate the healthcare system. She will discuss how their team empowers clients by providing knowledge and support, enabling them to individualize their healthcare plans while retaining independence and dignity throughout the process.
It’s important to note that Scutta Advocacy operates on a fee-based model, where they are compensated for the time they dedicate to their clients. As independent and unbiased professionals, their focus is on providing information and resources that assist clients and families in decision-making, choosing quality care, and ensuring optimal life.
Leah Bayes’ insights promise to be invaluable for all of us, and I encourage each of you to attend this session. It’s a unique opportunity to learn more about the support and advocacy available to individuals with Parkinson’s Disease.
If you have any specific questions you would like Leah to address during her presentation, please feel free to reply to this email, and we will do our best to incorporate them into the discussion.
Looking forward to seeing you all there.
Best regards,
Rick and Scott–
Parkinson’s Foundation Ambassador
