Parkinson’s Support Group meeting

Dear Friends,

Our next Parkinson’s Support Group meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 23 from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. at the Beaufort Memorial LifeFit Wellness Center.

April is Parkinson’s Awareness Month, and in recognition of this, we are very fortunate to welcome two Movement Disorder healthcare professionals from MUSC – Dr. Nathan DeTurk and Tracy Neilan0 APRN. They will be sharing insights into advanced therapies for Parkinson’s disease, including:

Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS)

Focused ultrasound

These speakers have received enthusiastic praise from other area support groups, who found their presentations highly informative and encouraging.
